Brazil bound

Next week we’re running a workshop in Rio to help finalise the 12 research papers spanning the Brazilian development experience.

I’m really looking forward to hearing all the authors present their work, and thinking about the opportunities to translate the research into an African context.

All being well, we should be on track to start publishing the working papers in June.

Most of the researchers working on the project are Brazilian themselves, so it will also be a great opportunity to get more of a sense of where Brazil is going. Much of the press coverage in the UK has been unremittingly negative for the last few months, so it’s an opportunity to gauge the atmosphere (at least in Rio) for myself.

Keep an eye on #Brazil4Africa for further updates.
